I created a blog to share the books I’m reading in hopes that it gives others recommendations to keep reading. I teach special education in Kansas and read when I can. I usually look for classic books but I also like humor, sci-fi, and history. I guess that covers a wide variety so it’s easy to pick up any book I find. Vonnegut and Steinbeck are probably my favorites so far.
Keep the pages turning!

Hello,
My name is Christopher Slayton and I’m extremely excited to introduce you to my first ebook, a science fiction thriller titled Chaos Company, in hopes that you will consider it for a review.
Chaos Company follows a team of genetically enhanced soldiers hunting down a powerful mercenary who killed the team’s leader. During their hunt the team is forced to go AWOL and their abilities will be pushed to their limits as they engage with a ruthless private military company before coming to a final showdown on the Brooklyn Bridge.
I read through a book review compilation site and after looking through your site I do believe that a review would be great exposure for my ebook and for myself as a writer.
My ebook can be found at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UG4RK9E
If you are interested in reading in my work I can email a copy to you for a read and review. Thank you for your time and look forward to your response.
Respectfully,
Christopher Slayton

Hello,
I’m writing to ask if you would be willing to read and review my latest novel, “Thompson Road.” The book (~80K words) is due out September 15, published by Booktrope Editions (my publicist at Booktrope is Stephanie Konat: stephanie.konat@booktrope.com)
This is a literary coming of age/love story set in the Pacific Northwest on the brink of World War II. The protagonists, Raleigh Starr and Mona Garrison, live six miles apart on the same country road in Thurston County, WA. Mona has what we know of today as dyslexia, although at the time it was not diagnosed as such. She was considered “slow.”
Blurb:
A sweeping, coming of age love story set in the Pacific Northwest on the brink of WWII. Rejected by classmate and accomplished swing dancer Sally Springs, high school quarterback Raleigh Starr remains desperate to win her heart. While walking home on Thompson Road, Raleigh catches sight of Mona Garrison, dancing at her bedroom window. He is mesmerized. Still determined to dazzle Sally, Raleigh asks the shy sixteen year old to compete with him at the state fair swing dance contest, and she agrees. Swept up in the war, Raleigh realizes too late what Mona has always known: that they are perfect for each other… but he is unware of the terrible price she has paid for his attention. Thompson Road is a poignant, tender story that reminds us of the power of first love.
I would love to send you the book in MOBI, EPUB or PDF format if you would be willing to take a look at it.
I hope to hear from you soon.
